TELFORD HOMES LAUNCHES GALLIONS POINT SALES SUITE AND SHOW HOMES
On 9th November 2019 Telford Homes will launch the Gallions Point Sales Suite and show homes, at a new riverside neighbourhood comprising of 127 homes in the heart of the Royal Docks. Spanning over 275 acres by the River Thames, the Royal Docks is undergoing a £314 million regeneration programme over the next five years and will become one of the most exciting new places to live in the capital.
As part of this renaissance, Telford Homes is creating a new neighbourhood with this stylish, contemporary development enabling a new generation of homebuyers to own their own home and be a part of this area’s exciting story. All available through the Help to Buy scheme, homes in this first release at Gallions Point feature a stylish collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments, with one bedroom and two bedroom show homes by Studio Morton and ArtSpace enabling buyers to experience the lifestyle first hand.
The architecture and exterior design of Gallions Point is drawn from the area’s previous incarnation as a thriving, prosperous dock where large ships frequently passed and unloaded at the warehouses on the dock side. This maritime heritage is evident in the materials and bricks used on the residential buildings to the design of the courtyards, which reflect the design aesthetic of the Royal Docks, creating a sense of space and connection with the waterside.
The one bedroom show home has been designed by Studio Morton and takes inspiration from glamorous, upmarket members clubs, with a very international feel.
Interior designer Clare Morton from Studio Morton said, “Rich colours such as burgundy, blue, teal and grey have been used as they link the development to the water and the nautical colours of red and blue have been used as accent colours, which is a real trend coming through at the moment.
“The use of gold and velvet fabrics, gives the show home a high end, sumptuous and glamorous feeling. This is juxtaposed with contemporary art including the LIPS artwork by emerging artist Sara Pope, represented by Jealous Gallery in Shoreditch which is on display, mixing contemporary with luxury”.
Representing a modern interpretation of warehouse living, the apartments have been cleverly designed to maximise space and create generously sized contemporary living accommodation. Floor to ceiling windows flood the rooms with light with outdoor space in the form of either a balcony or terrace, whilst many also have inset winter gardens with Juliette balconies. The contemporary kitchen and living spaces effortlessly combine form with function; with kitchens by renowned designer Urban Myth combined with stone work surfaces and fully integrated Smeg appliances, making a stylish and enjoyable space for cooking and entertaining.
As a new neighbourhood, community is at the heart of Gallions Point and the architecture and design has been formed to include three residential courtyard gardens creating a fantastic place to relax and socialise. As part of the lifestyle at Gallions Point, all residents have access to a 24-hour concierge on hand to deliver a seamless living experience alongside a private residents lounge in each block, underground parking (by separate negotiation).
Newly designated as London’s only Enterprise Zone, the Royal Docks is set to attract major businesses, creative industries and individuals, leisure facilities and huge investment with the first new commercial properties already in operation.
Leading the commercial regeneration at Royal Docks is ABP; the Chinese business park specialist who is creating what will become London’s third major business and financial centre. With 4.7 million sq. ft. devoted to offices, retail and residential use, it will become a hub for Asian businesses wanting to reach European markets and for European companies wanting to do business with them.
Simon Halfhide, Group Sales Director at Telford Homes, said: “Gallions Point is a unique development where we are creating an inspiring, community led neighbourhood for a new generation of homebuyers with every home available under the Help to Buy scheme. We have already seen strong early investment into Royal Docks, which has already transformed the area with much more still to come, making it an increasingly desirable place to live and work.
“The location of Gallions Point is ideal for those keen to get on the property ladder, and a prime opportunity for price growth with property prices set to rise significantly once the regeneration is complete. As well as being so close to the financial hub of Canary Wharf, residents and businesses in the area are also benefitting from excellent access to the West End and central London via Gallions Reach DLR, conveniently located adjacent to the development. The addition of Gallions Point to the Royal Docks regeneration will see it become one of the most exciting and dynamic areas to live in London.”
